This weekend I have been mainly....

1. Learning to taste wine properly (and then ignoring all new knowledge in order to get trashed)

2. Travelling by http://www.karmakabs.com/Karma_Kabs.swf - amazingly cool!!

3. Tap dancing through London after watching Anything Goes at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

4. Having a hen-night supper at Mezzo's followed by cocktails, dancing and an accidental party at my house (ops - glitter and feather EVERYWHERE!)

5. Having 7 hours sleep since I woke up on Friday morning

6. Recovering with much popcorn at the cinema on Sunday night after eating own body weight in potato waffles (I saw Big Fish - very beautiful and very odd)

7. Meeting up with old old uni friends, reliving the best bits of being young and foolish in London, then heading out to be less young and more foolish....

8. Getting number of inexplicable drinking injuries (mainly a large bruise on my hand - v sore)

9. Being on TV!!

.... and

10. Perhaps, even slightly... daring to believe in fairy tales once again....

My balcony

My bedroom is on the top floor of my house (a sort of attic room) and it has french windows which lead onto a balcony. The view is amazing (if you block out Sainsburys carpark and squint a bit) and as I live in the North, on a hill, it looks down over the whole of London.

Last year when it was really hot, I used my balcony in order to tan, read and chill out - I figured that by the nature of it being outside and exposed it would be fairly redundant in the winter.

To my surpass though, just recently I have started to get very attached to it in the middle of the night. I suffer quite badly with insomnia and its nice to know that you are not alone as late night trains rattle past and hundreds of lights blink at you from the city.

I think I am becoming a slightly familiar local mad-woman standing in the dark in my nightie and my brothers fleece, counting the stars, making wishes and chain smoking marlboro lights...

Meal for one

Normally, nothing makes me feel worse than standing in the supermarket queue with 5 poncy plastic meals for one and a bottle of semi expensive wine behind a family doing a weekly shop of potato waffles and carrots.

Today however, I got a wink from a boy with a very similar basket of food. I wonder if he would swap a glass of his Merlot for a glass of my Pinot Grigio...?

Shit. I think I over estimated how much 8 girls on a hen night could drink....

...I think I might have to have another party...

I'm carrying pink cheerleader pom-pom's...

Cookies are responsible for two things in my life:

Rather tight jeans, and the fact that I can't make comments on the majority of blogs (unless they are opened up to outside users like this one)....

So, do me a favour and pop over to the Blog Brother site to show your support for our PM Agony Bitch, by making comments on her piece.

Otherwise, da wkd stoodants mite take ova da world an we will all hav to rite like dis..... (I have a feeling that my attempts their when read by someone under 16 are probably the equivalent of my father dancing to Justin Timberlake....)

Some days...

Some days you can't stop smiling, laughing even. You grin at the miserable bastards on the tube, smile at the people in Starbucks and practically skip into work.

Some days you just don't care how big the pile of invoices on your desk is.

Some days every song in the world seems to have been written about you.

Some days you don't need benefits 'dandelion' to make you glow (still, blusher is our friend).

Some days your ship has come in and you win a beautiful Tiffanys bracelet on ebay.

Some days you don't fight with your mother on the phone.

Some days you find out that you are going to spend the next day playing in the Paddington Hilton with clients rather than being at work

Some days you are looking forward to the weekend for many reasons (parties, seeing friends and heading back to the 'Pool)

So, if you happen to be in London tonight and there is a blonde girl smiling to herself on the tube like a nutter, give her a break - it's just one of those days!

I just asked my boss...

...which word was posh (or proper), 'napkins' or 'serviettes' and now he won't stop laughing at me!

Am I really that ignorant?

Which is it then?
