Raindrops on roses

Taking a break from trying to find suitable curtains to wear in Salzburg, I finally managed to find my way to an internet site having survived the last four weeks in a tent with no electricity (while taking in 5 countries (and two principalities)) in the company of a best friend and a knitted monkey...

...so I checked my email and thanks for those of you who were concerned with my safety. Perhaps its unfair to publically obsess about your life for two years and then fall off the world. Even my husband (bless his soul) who has not been heard of for the last two years sent me an email of concern; It was almost a sentence long!

So where have I been? Well, I have been to a place where I can communicate with everybody, and nobody, where there are shared jokes and hand gestures and, where, on a day a couple of weeks ago in the mountains of Italy a very old lady found out that I was from London and gave me a squeeze of the hand that seemed to say... we´re all in this together. London is loved and so are you.

Worlds can be miles apart of close together, sometimes they meet for a few hours and drink great steins of beer, sometimes they don´t need words. But, one thing is certain... there are a lot of wonderful people in the world and no place, person or country is ever ever alone.

Have fun sweethearts, I´m off to climb a mountain.
