Who?

I was scurrying to work this morning when somebody reached out a hand and grabbed me.

'Hi Daisy - how are you?'

Nothing went through my head as I looked at this guy - NOTHING... I didn't even sort of remember him - not a clue!. He was good looking, looked about my age was wearing a suit.

'Hi' I said 'fancy seeing you here'

'Well, its not that odd really'

'No I suppose not'

We proceeded to have quite a long conversation while I desperately searched my brain for any clue at all that I had ever known this person. Eventually and predictably I slipped up.

'So, where are you working now?' I asked conversationally.

In my old company predictably. Where he had always worked for this was indeed my Former-Office-Crush.

I tried to save the situation - but it was so obvious that I had only just realised who he was that we parted quickly after empty promises to email.

Oh how fickle we can be...

kinda satisfying tho - I only realised as I was going home last night I'd left RS off yesterdays list - policeman, went out with him for 2 months, then he dumped me by not answering my calls. Bad form, in my book. I cried for a week. And now I'm like, 'er, who?'

Okay, it was 5 years ago, but still...

Ahh the joys of crushes.
One minute they take up the whole of your life, the next......

(6.11.03 13:49)
Ah.. of course.. office crush boy! I'd almost forgotten about him..

Keith (How quickly we forget..)

(6.11.03 13:51)
Was it not odd that he called you Daisy though?

(6.11.03 13:57)
What on earth else would he call me Adam?

Opening a can of worms...

(6.11.03 14:05)
Going fishing then?

(6.11.03 14:13)
Yes - you haven't told me how pretty I look today!

(6.11.03 14:18)
Is this Blog Crush going to be as fickle as the 'Office Boy Crush', next thing you know Ads she'll be walking past you in the blog, wondering who you are, and why you're pestering her at 4 o'clock in the morning.

(6.11.03 14:19)
That's a given Daisy - you look fabulous!

(6.11.03 14:21)
NEVER! This is the real thing AB...
Ever since he compared us to Richard and Judy - I've been smitten.

(6.11.03 14:25)
Ah - we were happy when we were Richard and Judy....

(6.11.03 14:33)
D - Why? Did you flash your white bra under your black top?
BWA - For Shame!

(6.11.03 14:34)
We were in fact - I've been considering offering you a guest spot on my blog for a while now to relive the happiness thus clearing out one of my rooms for a chat show... But I'm not sure I can trust you in there unsupervised...

Daisy, you make me laugh. I had a similar experience about 3 years ago. I was just entering Sainsbury's with Gill, when this stunning 6 foot tall blonde stopped me and said hello. She was talking really quickly, her husband looking confused, for about 5 minutes. I sort of joined in now and then, and as we parted she said it was so good to see me again.
As we walked away Gill said, "Who was that?", with the emphasis on Who. To which I replied, "I'm not sure really, but I think it was..."
Well, I was right, and have seen her a few other times since. But the reason I wasn't sure - the last time I had seen this girl she was 16, hadn't fully grown (tall, b4 you ask), and was a gothic with long black dyed hair as opposed to a bleached blonde with short hair and tan.
It was an ex-girlfriend's sister, who I had only met 3 times anyway. Nice girl, though. Saw her a week ago or so. Must drop her a text see how her house move went.

Oh a Talk Show.
Perhaps I could be one of your first guests, you know being Prime Mistress an all...

(6.11.03 14:56)
Sounds perfect... what do you think Ads? Want to be my co-presenter?
The Des to my Mel? So to speak?

(6.11.03 15:18)

How exciting...

(6.11.03 15:20)
I'll wash my hair then.

(6.11.03 15:26)
Yes and that shirt needs an iron honey... Oh just take it off - I'll do it.
What time of day should we be on (must be between 9 and 5) - and what shall we call it?

(6.11.03 15:33)
You'll iron as well - fabulous! How about - and don't let me bowl you over with originality here - but how about 'The Daisy and Adam Show'?

(6.11.03 15:36)
I think you should come first darling as Richard and Des do....

(6.11.03 15:49)
Really TT - the lady always comes first. I insist.

(6.11.03 15:54)
Too late me thinks... He he he.
I'll mail you the details
