Books etc

Last night in the interests of research for my PGCE I bought the Penguin History of the World in my attempts to brush up on everything that isn't Classics related before my interview on Wednesday.

Unsurprisingly - its absolutely huge!!

One hour in the bath later and I had reached the birth of mankind - go me!

But the best thing is actually using my brain again... I could almost hear it creaking into action.

Trust me - read the new Bill Bryson, and it's half price in Waterstone's at the moment!

It's good when you realise you can use your brain again.

If you need any British History brushing up Winston Chruchills, History of English SpeakinG people's is quite good, although I did cheat and read the abbridged version...
