The emancipation of Daisy
1. I am at school but feel no better and I have three spots on my face. I am hoping that they look sort of like beauty spots... but I feel that this might be unlikely. Is it possible to catch adolesence?
2. My new phone is very pretty but should not have bleeped during morning mass. That was naughty naughty naughty!
3. I am teaching American politics today. This would be laughable but I seem to have mislaid my sense of humour.
4. I made a decision last night. That I have been waiting and waiting for a man to buy me diamonds... but the fact is that they never do (apart from my lovely lovely daddy who has bought me several over the years). So, I bought my own. Sort of an early self congratulationary present. The first of many probably.
Now... once I've grappled with American politics then I just have to get my head round the English ones.
Those bloody Pankhursts have a lot to answer for... if they had just stayed sewing by the fire I wouldn't be in this position... the position of choice and having to use my brain..... and probably some handsome Mr Darcy type would have bought me diamonds!

When I was in New York in November I was so tempted to buy myself a diamond ring in Tiffany's but they were so expensive it would have taken up my whole budget and then some...so congrats to you for going for it! |
