Ops!

I have noticed that the less work I do in a lesson - the more I have to do when I get home. For example, today I had a wonderful double lesson of 6th form silence... and now I have to pay the consequences... 13 Essays to mark on Charles' financial policy in the First Civil War.

Bleugh.

I guess that this is my penance for having a night last night of red wine, pizza and a very very early night... ;o)

No way - I need to steer them all onto A's now - they can't manage to do that for each other!!

Did you study history at uni Daisy? I did, and am thinking of doing a PGCE in history. Not sure what age-group though.

Hi Welsh - I actually did Classics at uni and then worked for 6 years before doing my PGCE - I would really recommend it. I teach 11-18 year old boys. I thought the 6th form would scare me - but they are actually the most fun!!

Thanks for that Daisy! I've been thinking that older kids would scare me too, but then I'd be able to concentrate on the subject I love most. Still haven't fully decided yet though
